Hope Bible Church Niagara
As the Graphic Designer at Hope Bible Church Niagara since 2017, I’ve had the opportunity to lead a wide range of creative projects. One highlight was designing a presentation to accompany one of the messages of the non-profit.
This message focused on the raw emotion of lament in Psalm 13. I designed a central slide using a dark, stormy background to visually represent the psalmist’s despair and sense of silence from God. The storm imagery was intentionally chosen to evoke tension and emotional weight, aligning with the opening question, “How long, O Lord?” Typography was kept minimal and centered to let the imagery speak, while subtle contrast and texture helped maintain readability. As the sermon moved toward themes of trust and hope, the visual tone gradually shifted to lighter elements, creating a subtle narrative arc across the slides. The goal was to support the emotional flow of the message—from questioning to faith—through simple, impactful design.
